The Process

Working with Debbie Cerone

The first step is to CALL Debbie Cerone! She'll set up an appointment and come out with her portfolio, including photos of murals and other decorative art and hand-painting, faux finish or texture samples and her "idea book" that will let you explore some of the many possibilities her work has to offer.

General Pricing Guidelines
Here are some general pricing guidelines, so that you can determine what you would like to do within your budget. Often times, simple hand painted embellishments, such as hand-painted "ivy" around a room or painting a nursery or child's room can be done in only a day or two and can totally change the way you see that room - taking it from ordinary to extraordinary!

Hand Painting and Custom Stenciling - avg. $50 an hour (plus the cost of materials and extra prep time for custom designs).

Murals – It’s really not possible to give a flat rate for mural painting because the cost is determined based on the complexity of the design. In other words, a small, complex mural can cost more than a very large, simple mural. However, as a general rule of thumb, most murals cost somewhere between $10 and $25 per square foot.*

*Children's rooms can be done for much less as the 'elements'
are often simpler and do not take as much time.

Geographic Area
Based in Elburn, Illinois, Debbie Cerone's service area includes Chicago and suburbs. She occassionally goes on assignment in other parts of the state, or in bordering states, depending upon the size and scope of the project and budget, of course.
